Ah spring… with it comes warmer weather, green grass, flowers, no more snow and ice… and the desire to go outside and have all the adventures! As well, the COVID-19 restrictions have curtailed spring and summer travel, which means more and more folks are getting to know the outdoorsy goodness of our province through hiking, biking, trail running, and other activities. Outside activity is not only beneficial to us physically, but mentally and emotionally too!

When you’re exploring our beautiful province, it is always important to be aware of the local residents! The bears have started to wake up, and safety needs to be paramount when you’re out in nature. Alberta Parks has some great tips to be “Bear Aware” and you can check them out right here.


Finally, even though you’re outside, you still need to observe COVID-19 safety protocols. Make sure you practise physical distancing, and have your mask ready in case you encounter a situation where staying 2 metres apart is not possible.
