Chronic Pain & Pain Management

No one is a stranger to pain. Many experience chronic pain, however, and are tricked into believing that the pain is something they just need to “deal” with. An ache in your lower back, or a sharp stab in your shoulder and/or neck. Delibitating migraines. Foot pain. A repetitive stress injury.

Chronic Pain is a pain that reoccurs frequently and remains active for weeks, months, or even years – and is often dismissed by people as a new norm to simply “deal” with on a day-to-day basis. It can be broken down into two categories, where intermittent pain happens in waves and persistent pain lasts for 12 or more hours for a few months at a time.

Relief for Chronic Pain through Chiropractic
When the chronic pain you’re experiencing stems from irritation or injury to your nervous system, or from irregular function of muscles, joints and the vascular system, chiropractic is one of the most effective means of achieving pain relief because of how it targets the root of the problem.

Chiropractors are also trained in other therapies that can further the success of your treatment for chronic pain when coupled with chiropractic, such as:

- Graston Technique
– Active Release Therapy
– Massage Therapy
– Active Isolated Stretching

These manual therapies all have their benefits in chronic pain management and – in many cases – the complete elimination of pain.
