Letter from Dr. Jamila Abdulla

Dr. Jamila Abdulla, Calgary ChiropractorAs a dedicated athlete myself, I understand how pain can weasel its way into your life and affect your routines, work, or hobbies.

Whether you are experiencing chronic shoulder, neck and back pain from sitting behind a desk all day, or a sport injury from your last competition/triathlon/game, a bad fall, or you simply slept the wrong way the other night — pain in stranger to no one. This is why I do what I do.

As a chiropractor, I treat every patient with an entirely personalized treatment plan that is re-evaluated at the start and end of each appointment so that the best course of action to achieve pain relief is one that is developed by both myself and the patient together. These plans never only include manual adjustments: I also firmly believe in treating the surrounding soft tissue for lasting benefits – and this is where my practice differs from the usual approach to chiropractic care.

For cases where rehabilitation is needed for an injury, or where pain management requires extra attention, I look to incorporate other therapies such as Graston Technique, Active Release Techniques, or Massage Therapy when it is appropriate. These services can help speed up the healing process, and this is why we offer them all under the same roof.

With these values in mind, I established The Chiropractic Health Centre in the late 1990′s – and I’m proud to say that our team (chiropractors and massage therapists alike) continue to support them.
